Engaging communities in responding to COVID-19 in low resource countries: A case study of Ghana
The Aim of the Study
This study explored and sought to understand government-community engagement in the prevention, and management of COVID-19 as well as in the vaccine roll out.
Study methods
The study employed ethnographic qualitative research methods.
Expected Outcome
It is expected that the study will contribute to understanding the extent to which the government has engaged and empowered communities in the fight against COVID-19, community response to government’s efforts and challenges in community engagement processes. Also, it is expected that the finding will contribute to identifying strategies to strengthening community engagement in the fight against COVI-19 and policy recommendations on effective community engagement will be made.
