Desmond Klu (PhD) is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Health Research, University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana.
Education
Dr. Klu trained for his first degree in Economics and Sociology at the University of Cape Coast, pursued his masters degree and PhD in Population Studies at the Regional Institute for Population Studies, University of Ghana.
Work experience
He worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Cape Coast. He also worked as a marketing executive at Ghana Life Insurance Company Limited as well as a research assistant at Population Council. Dr. Klu also supervised numerous projects such as USAID- Early Grade Reading and Numeracy Evaluation Project, Ghana Census of Agriculture, Adolescent Smoking Survey and Integrated Bio-Behavioural Surveillance Survey.

Dr. Klu’s areas of research are Maternal and Child Health, Adolescent Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Climate Change and Environmental Health, Non-Communicable Diseases and Malaria.
